A Grave in the Cotswolds

Broad Campden, home of the arts and crafts movement, deeply wooded and serenely pursuing life on the edge of the larger Chipping Campden. It is March, and Thea is left high and dry by the death of the owner of the house she is sitting.

The story is told by Drew Slocombe, alternative undertaker, who is given the task of burying the home-owner in the corner of a field. Drew and Thea are very much thrown together, and find they have much in common.

A man is murdered, and Drew comes to the notice of the police.
