A Cotswold Mystery

March the next year sees Thea in charge of a large house in the middle of Blockley. Her daughter Jessica joins her, while Phil Hollis is busy with police dramas in the city.

Thea’s charge this time is Granny, a very aged and confused woman, whose mind is a labyrinth of crazed logic and jumbled feelings. There is a celebrity rapper, whose language is almost as confusing as Granny’s, and some mysterious associations with Joanna Southcott, a figure from the early nineteenth century.

Abandoned villages surround the little town, raising questions of their own. Winter is slowly yielding to spring, and the people of Blockley conduct themselves accordingly.
